Crawl space, from floored part of cellar. Notice plastic nicely laid out and secured with 60-penny, 6" spikes & fender washers. Thanks to Tim & Joe for your help in spreading the plastic out and securing it!

My before pictures didn't really get taken at the start of the project. The true "before" picture would have shown no visible concrete, with a large inflatable boat, stacks of empty (& not so empty) boxes to the "ceiling", etc. I spent a good part of the previous day clearing a work space of sorts.

Beginning of "The Wall", featuring the master planner and carpenter. Jam of the door to outdoor steps is barely visible to the left, crawl space to the right.

We had a nice door, complete with its custom frame, left from the tear-out of walls upstairs. And let me tell you, building a wall around the door frame is a lot easier that fitting a door into a rigid opening in a wall.

Trimming the second panel of plasterboard. The first panel is hung between the door and the concrete foundation - surface is green.

Progress! Had to do a little fitting around the recently installed heat ducts. Because the furnace was recently installed it was a retrofit job, so the ducts were hung below beams and joists - minor head nuisance.

The extent of progress on 1/3/14.

First picture on 1/24. Last two sheets of plasterboard have been hung. Bob is working on "zipping up" all the studs with drywall screws.

Bob demonstrating his chief motivation for the trip(s) and the project. The nail gun transformed what would have been a difficult (and painful - to the wrists) project into lots of fun!! Thanks, Bob, for being so "Gung Ho!!".

Completion of the day's work on 1/24. We put in about 8 hours, including a leisurely lunch (thanks Liz & Linda) and a trip to Home Depot.

$The dustmaster demonstrating a final sweep-out!! At first I thought the distorting circles were from dust particles on the lens, but they did not show up in the immediately subsequent pictures (even though lens had not been cleaned). They must be floating in the air and diffracting the light from the bright halogen lights just to the right of the camera.$

Relaxing Saturday morning. We had wonderful weather for these two days. Friday, Linda & Liz had a ball exploring.
