Caption: *SOLD* DON HANSON “SCARY” AUTO DAGGER – THIS PIECE IS THE ONLY AUTO DAGGER DON HAS EVER MADE AND HE HAS DESIGNATED IT AS THE LAST AUTO FOLDER HE WILL MAKE. THERE’S QUITE A FEW COMPONETS NECESSARY TO CONSTRUCT AN AUTO DAGGER AND EVERYTHING INCLUDING THE ELEVEN 18K GOLD SCREWS WERE MADE BY DON. YOU WILL NOTICE THE INSIDE OF THE BACK FRAME IS FILE WORKED 18K GOLD AS IS THE RELEASE BUTTON AND ALL LINERS ARE FILE WORKED AND ANODIZED TITANIUM. DON’S MOSAIC DAMASCUS PATTERNS NEVER SEIZE TO AMAZE ME. I CALL THE FRONT AND REAR BOLSTER’S DAMASCUS OF 1084 AND 4600e PURE NICKLE “SCARY THINGS” AND THE BLADE IS DON’S ACCORDION PATTERN DAMASCUS OF 1084/15n20. WE SELECTED BRILLIANTLY COLORED EXHIBITION GRADE NORTH SEA IVORY FOR THE HANDLE SCALES. THE OAL OF THIS FOLDER IS 9 1/8” WITH THE BLADE BEING 4 3/8”. FEATURED IN MAR. '09 ISSUE OF TACTICAL KNIVES "TACTICAL CUSTOMS" (PG.50) AND BLADE FEBRUARY'09 "WHAT'S HOT IN HANDLE MATERIALS" (PG.34) AND "KNIVES 2010" (PG.63).
